Wall artworks
For the wall panels, a base of acid-treated iron is used. Glazed ceramic forms are attached to the panel using magnets.
From a single clay slab, I cut out the shapes and arrange them specularly to create the new image. The observer becomes part of the artwork, playing with this puzzle.
It is important to me that all the clay used becomes part of the artwork, including the “useless” cutouts that remain as a presence/absence within the complexity of the piece.
